Founding partnership

Developing Voyage with Princes Primary School

Voyage began with a real specialist-school problem, not a generic software brief. Work with Princes in Liverpool created the product foundation now known internally as Xpress and publicly as Voyage.

What exists now

A joined-up staff record

The current product brings together person-centred profiles, EHCP outcomes, goals and targets, learning records, assessment frameworks, forms, moderation, approvals and staff worktrays. It was shaped around the detail of school practice rather than assembled as a marketing feature list.

What happens next

Back into daily use in September

Princes will return in September 2026 with the newest version of Xpress/Voyage. That use will show what has improved, what still causes friction and what the next phase should prioritise.

Princes' independent review

“You can tell they care about the outcomes for the children.”
Dave Harrison & Emma McCormick, IT Manager and Quality of Education Lead at Princes Primary School.

Why one founding school is a beginning, not proof

A product built closely with one school can understand its work deeply, but it can also accidentally encode assumptions that do not travel. That is why the Autumn programme is discovery before sales: listen to other settings, compare workflows and identify which parts of Voyage are genuinely useful across schools.

Bring another school's perspective

If your setting is reviewing how planning, assessment and evidence fit together, an Autumn discovery conversation can help both sides decide whether a founding pilot makes sense.
